Your first-month checklist

  1. Confirm your county and school district from the property address.
  2. Find your water source: public supply, MUD, or private well.
  3. If you're on septic, get the last service record and set up pumping.
  4. Set up electric and internet. Fiber is available in some subdivisions, not all.
  5. Get a library card at Spicewood Community Library, 1011 Spur 191.
  6. File your homestead exemption with your county appraisal district.
